Springtime screentone sketchbook

It’s been a while since there’s been a blog here and I’d like to start doing it again. It’s spring in LA and we’re finally getting some very warm days. I just bought a cheap MP3 player so I can draw outside without the internet. I’ve been penciling drawings on site, then going home to ink and tone them. These are looking nice. My favorite screentone sheet is 15L, 15% but I have a ton of sheets just sitting in a drawer so I’ve used some various ones. Above: 30L/10% are much bigger dots though at a low density. The bottom drawing at Pasadena City Hall is 55L 10% I think? Maybe 60? Looks like they’re a bit denser.
